Download & Installation of Anypoint Studio
Prerequisites for Anypoint Studio
As we discussed we must have Java SE JDK 8 installed and configured.
Download the Anypoint Studio installation file from the Download Site.
After downloading and installing the JDK, ensure that your JDK installation is properly configured within the JAVA_HOME environment variable:
In Search, search for System (Control Panel) and select it.
Click Advanced System Settings.
Click Environment Variables.
In System Variables, look for the PATH environment variable:
If PATH is visible, select it and click Edit to navigate to Edit System Variable.
If PATH is not visible, click New to navigate to New System Variable.
Ensure that the /bin directory of your JDK 1.8.0 installation is the first item in your PATH environment variable.
Blank spaces are not allowed when defining a path on Windows.
You must use the %ProgramFiles% or %ProgramFiles(x86)% environment variables provided by Windows to refer to your \Program Files\ or \Program Files (x86)\ directories.
Click OK.
Installation on Windows OS :
1) Download Anypoint Studio from link : https://www.mulesoft.com/lp/dl/studio
Select operating system as windows from tab,
Fill the form and click on download.It will download Anypoint 7.
For downloading previous versions of anypoint studio you can click on previous versions tab, shown in below figure
2 ) Now, extract it into the ‘C:\’ root folder.
3) Open the extracted Anypoint Studio.
4) For accepting the default workspace, click OK. You will get a welcome message when it loads for the first time.
5) Now, click on Get Started button to use Anypoint Studio.
Installation on Linux OS :
1) Download Anypoint Studio from link : https://www.mulesoft.com/lp/dl/studio
Select operating system as Linux from tab,
Fill the form and click on download.It will download Anypoint 7.
2 ) Now, extract it into the ‘C:\’ root folder.
3) Open the extracted Anypoint Studio.
4) For accepting the default workspace, click OK. You will get a welcome message when it loads for the first time.
5) Now, click on Get Started button to use Anypoint Studio.
If you are going to use custom path to your workspace, then please note that Anypoint Studio does not expand the ~ tilde used in Linux/Unix systems. Hence, it is recommended to use the absolute path while defining the workspace.
It is also recommended to install GTK version 2 to use complete Studio Themes in Linux.
Installation on OS X:
1) Download Anypoint Studio from link : https://www.mulesoft.com/lp/dl/studio
Select operating system as Mac from tab
Fill the form and click on download.It will download Anypoint 7.
2) Now, extract it. In case if you are using OS version Sierra, make sure to move the extracted app to /Applications folder before launching it.
3) Open the extracted Anypoint Studio.
4) For accepting the default workspace, click OK. You will get a welcome message when it loads for the first time.
5) Now, click on Get Started button to use Anypoint Studio.
If you are going to use custom path to your workspace, then please note that Anypoint Studio does not expand the ~ tilde used in Linux/Unix systems. Hence, it is recommended to use the absolute path while defining the workspace.
